FAQs
Where can I get a copy?
We are a very small, independent press—as such, we primarily offer our first-run editions in-person at shows. Reach out to your local independent bookseller if you’re interested and ask them to carry Waxen.
We did add a store to this website that carries a very limited amount of the first edition runs, so we’re expecting this to be a less frequently-asked question.
How might I contribute? What would I get in return?
Feel free to submit your work for consideration directly to Bev and Bob. We offer a flat rate of fifty USD for all those accepted, as well as a first-edition copy for those within the United States. (International contributors will still have a copy reserved for them; we are still figuring out the best way to send those out.) Yes, we do accept simultaneous submissions. No, we do not accept reprints for stories/poems.
Please check our Submissions page for more information.
I’m considering contributing. What are you looking for?
We are interested in work that is dark, heady, and strange. We appreciate unique voices and perspectives. We enjoy works that others might deride as too weird, self-indulgent, or experimental. PPlease check our Submissions page for more information.
If you’ve submitted a piece, and we haven’t gotten back, why not try sending something stranger?
