WAXEN is a quarterly, cooperative effort. All contributors are fairly compensated and retain the rights to their work. We specialize in experimental, weird, and literary horror.

We are looking for short fiction, poetry, visual art, and illustrations.

We are interested in the weird, the occult, the surreal, and the horrific.

We love experimentation.

Please ensure:

Fiction submissions do not exceed 5000 words.

Illustrations are optimized for black and white printing.

Please avoid:

Graphic sexual violence.

Graphic violence against children.

AI-generated content.
